Gandhinagar District Cooperative Milk Union Ltd well known as Madhur Dairy is an ISO 9001-2008 and ISO 22000-2005 organization established on 6th February, 1971 under Gujarat Cooperative Society Act- 1962. This Union is small in size but credible and large in rewarding the highest milk price to farmers in Gujarat.

Looking to the milk procurement data, Madhur had progressed very fast from 3000 LPD in year 1992 to 3.21 Lakh LPD in year 2017. The Union has focused on awareness and education of primary milk producers which is resulted in increased milk procurement, cattle development services. Madhur dairy has total number of 152 Village Dairy Cooperative societies (VDCS) having total members of 44,369 registered as primary milk producers. It is our proud that out of total 152 VDSC, we have 74 cooperatives run by only women. This is a great milestone in development of Madhur Dairy.

Considering the financial growth of the Madhur, it is notable that the Union has reached to 500 crores of turnover in year 2016-17. Apartfrom the milk and milk products, Madhur Sweets has captured a best market in capital.

Madhur Dairy- famous as " The taste of Capital " is now completing 50 years of establishment in 2020 has decided to celebrate it with a theme of Quality and Quantityin services and products. The Union is upgraded with totally computerised data system such as SAP and ERP which is very useful in monitoring and evaluation of its progress.

Chairman's Message (Dr. Shankarsinh Rana)

“I am honoured to be a Chairman of a growing milk cooperative since last 17 years. Today Madhur Dairy has its own identity and brand in the market. Since 2016, Madhur has signed agreement to pack and distribute milk and buttermilk in name of ‘AMUL’ brand to be marketed under the large milk distribution channel of India i.e. Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF).

You will be delighted to know that MADHUR DAIRY celebrate its Golden Jubilee in year 2020. We have selected a theme of “Gunavattayukt Gandhinagar” means Qualitative Capital. Quality and service is two main pillars of Madhur. Quality at both ends, producers as well at consumers. Madhur dairy tries to make Capital as a PROSUMER SOCIETY -a happy and healthy society linking milk Producers and milk Consumers together.

If I talk about producers, Madhur Dairy believe in economical but well integrated administration giving high rate of returns back to primary producers. Looking to annual accounts of the year 2016-17, Madhur dairy has returned Rs. 88 out of Rs. 100 to primary producers and managed all administrative expenses in just 12 Rupees. Madhur dairy believe in improving quality of life of the primary producers. Qualitative input services, veterinary infrastructure and timely follow up, awareness and education for cattle development are provided regularly. Madhur Dairy always stand with farmers to get maximum benefits of State and Central Government schemes and subsidies. It is notable that Madhur Dairy and State Government is always cooperate and work together for betterment of people involved in occupation of animal husbandry. As a part of its mission 2020, Madhur Dairy has signed MoU in Vibrant Gujarat to establish New Dairy Development Plant to process milk with capacity of 5 lakh LPD. I also show my gratitude to NDDB for its cohesive support for this proposed initiative. It is assumed that the Plant will be inaugurated soon.

As a part of Digital India Initiative, Madhur has initiated Automatic Milk Collection System (AMCS) supported by GCMMF. This will enhance transparent, prompt and quality of village Dairy Cooperatives. Apartfrom this, all the Madhur Parlour will be covered under digital system such as PoS and real-time data services, digital advertisement and customer services etc.

Above to all, Madhur Dairy has now established ‘Business Development Department’ to mainstream all the branding and communication programme of the organization in expanding sphere.

Managing Director's Message (Dr. Avanika J. Rao)

“Dairy industry in Gujarat state is well-established at present and is taken as a model for replicating in other states of the country. The dairy sector in the state assumes key importance as it is a business that helps to generate the best alternative additional income and employment for poor, rural farmers. Milch animal-holders feed and nourish dairy animals with crop residuals and agriculture by-products available with them. Gandhinagar District Cooperative Milk Producers Union Ltd is member union of Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation i.e. AMUL model.

Since past 8 years I rendered my services as Managing Director of this prestigious union. It has grown up year by year progressively achieving new standard and protocol of Food Safety and Food Security also. It is our proud that recently Madhur Dairy has awarded ‘Gujarat Gaurav SanmaanPurskar’ for its contribution in Dairy sector. Our Hon. Chairman Dr.Shankarsinh Rana has received the award from World Gujarati Forum, New Jersey, USA.

I am proud of all the committed employees of Madhur Dairy who always work hard for success of Madhur dairy. I am trying my level best for the integrated development of Madhur Dairy.
